Do you despise Mondays? Live for the weekends? Do you feel like a hamster in someone else’s wheel? Does your job give you a reason strong enough to wake up every morning?
A 30-year mortgage, growing family, 12-hour workdays and a stationary income that never seems to rise with your expenses.
Let me ask you something. When was the last time you truly felt free and in absolute control of your life? When was the last time you felt you could break free from your bank’s perpetual slavery?
I’m willing to wager quite a bit that the feeling now seems to be a distant memory. And you’re probably asking yourself if you’ll ever be able to break free of this crushing cycle? If you’ll ever be able to experience a life that allows you the freedom and flexibility to pursue your passions? If you can build an income stream healthy enough to give yourself and your family a life they deserve?
But isn’t that normal?
I don’t believe so, I’m a staunch believer in the constant pursuit of Lifestyle Freedom. In essence, Lifestyle Freedom is a holistic view of life that goes way beyond the rat race. A view that our education and the modern culture seems to hammer in our heads every day.
At its core Lifestyle Freedom is being able to experience a life that allows you the freedom and flexibility to realise and pursue your true purpose. A life that allows you to make the most of every passing moment the way you deem fit.
As clichéd it may sound, time is your most important asset. There are few people who can claim to dictate their time. Being able to catch up with your friends, being able to take the university paper you’ve been longing for so long or packing your bag and leaving for a vacation at the drop of a hat.
You must relentlessly pursue and practice lifestyle freedom; for it will make you appreciate your time here. Although financial freedom is a byproduct of it, much more importantly it will make you recognise that there is much more to life than just punching in your attendance card.
It will put you in a position where you can truly “live” your life instead of your life passing you by. Being able to build a life around absolute passion, appreciation for each passing moment and gratitude is a privilege enjoyed by few. Lifestyle freedom affords you the opportunity to truly blossom and chart your way to a legacy you could be proud of.
